Here we are again!

So, I have just completed nursing school and preparing to take the boards (keep your fingers crossed)! I have a job lined up if all goes well! In other news, I have upped my Metformin to 1500mg per day and just ended a period from hell....but at least I had a period. Isaiah and I are looking forward to hopefully getting our own place in the next month, and we are both so excited about it! He even signed up for some classes at IUPUI!

In unrelated news, I think I'm addicted to fast food. I hate eating it and it makes me feel like crap, but I almost crave it.... Hum....

Catching up

Well, to be expected, I never began "losing weight". Last quarter with school was so hectic, then we went on vacation in Florida. Vacation never helps with losing weight. I began my Metformin 1000mg every day, but my doctor wants me up to 1500mg every day for three months before she will put me on Clomid. This quarter with school is much less stressful but with my graduation and my SILs graduation all coming up, I am beside myself keeping busy. I cannot wait to move out and move in to our own place and really begin our life together.

On another note, my good friend at school, Penny (who also has PCOS) just found out that she is pregnant! Her and her husband have been trying for about 2 years, and 100mg of Clomid did the trick! So excited for them and this really gives me hope!

That is all for now!

ARG!

Feb. 3rd, 2010. The day my life should change as Isaiah and I begin a journey of trying to conceive. I keep telling myself I want to lose weight, but always pushing it back. I could have gotten on the treadmill today, but again, I didn't...always finding an excuse. So, now my new thing is losing weight beginning the day after our consult. Maybe I'm taking too much on, or maybe I'm just tired of living in someone else's home. Whatever it is, I'm in a funk recently. I'm in the home stretch for nursing school, and it is getting harder and harder, and my naps are more frequent and frequent. I'm really interested in finding someone to lose weight with me...someone with PCOS, who doesn't have children yet and are TTC their first one. Hum....life....

My news!

Went to the OB/GYN today for my 3 month pap and brought up some questions for Nurse Kathy. We were discussing my periods and this last one was so crampy (mind you, I just began having periods about 6 months ago when I began Metformin)....AND Nurse Kathy thinks I may have ovulated! Which means, I am able to ovulate! YEAH! That's my news! So, I got a script for a good prenatal vitamin, I've been bumped up to 1000mg of Metformin and Isaiah and I have a fertility consult on February 3rd with Dr. Cline! I'm so excited!

I'm back - Again

Just making this to journal about my life. Beginning to try an get healthy AGAIN. So much has happened. I will graduate nursing school in 6 months, and Isaiah and I can move out of his parents house in 6 months! I don't know which one I'm more excited for!

I'm at the highest weight I've ever been, at 260 something. Nursing school and living with my in-laws isn't helping much, especially when they buy our groceries.

I joined up with FitCysters as well as DailyBurn (which syncs up to my iPhone).

Here we go!

I'm still alive!

Hello to all (mainly Cousin Sarah)!

I've been MIA becasue all my talk before lead to NOTHING, and I was embarressed to admit it. Nonetheless, I got my haircut on Saturday and I am feeling great, so I just decided why not now? Actually I am self concious about the dark patch around the back of my neck, caused by IR and decided it was time. So, this morning I woke up at 6am and did my 20 minute TurboJam Cardio Party. Then when I got to work, I ate two scrambled eggs, 1 bacon and a cup of fresh strawberries. I am going to post a picture of my new hair, a picture of me in a sports bra and shorts and also my measurements. And Isaiah and I are going to start walking every night. I'm excited!

Beginning the change

So, yeaterday I left work about an hour early and got home before Isaiah. I decided to clean the house (like burning calories cleaning) before he got home AND do the laundry. He was so happy! Then, I baked 3 boneless, skinless chicken breast with EVOO, minced garlic and lemon juice. For sides we had whole grain brown rice and corn. It was so good! And this morning I woke up with Isaiah and made him a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich on whole wheat toast. And then I made myself 3 scrambled eggs with a little bit of cheese, 3 slices of bacon and 1 piece whole wheat toast. I must say I feel really good today! I even brought the extra chicken breast and broccoli and cheese for lunch. I am really getting pumped about beginning TurboJam again. Please send some prayers of encouragement this way!
